Welcome to Flex Dance Experience!

At Flex Dance Experience, our mantra is simple: Find your passion, flex your potential. As lifelong members of the dance community, we grew up immersed in this world—first as competition kids, then working the front desk, teaching classes, and eventually choreographing and producing sold-out shows. This journey has given us a unique perspective and a deep understanding of what makes a studio truly special.

Our philosophy centers on creating a positive, nurturing environment where every dancer can explore their passions and grow both on and off the dance floor. Our mission is to enrich lives through movement, helping students build technical skill, self-confidence, resilience, and creativity.

We’re here to help our dancers discover what makes them shine and support them every step of the way as they grow and succeed.

Policies & Procedures

Registration

To register for classes, please visit our website and complete the online registration form. Registration is required for all students before attending classes. A $50 registration fee will apply during the enrollment process.

Payment Plan

Tuition fees are billed monthly. Payments are due by the 1st of each month. We accept credit cards, debit cards, and electronic bank transfers. Late payments will incur a late fee of $30 if not received within 5 days of the due date.

A 2.90% + $0.30 per transaction credit card fee is applied to all online payments.

Accounts with an outstanding balance may result in the student being unable to participate in classes, performances, or competitions until the account is current.

Changing or Withdrawing from Classes

If a student needs to switch to a different class or withdraw from the program, a written notice must be provided at least two weeks in advance. Refunds are not guaranteed and will be considered on a case-by-case basis.

Pro-Rated Tuition

Flex Dance Experience uses an automated billing system to calculate pro-rated tuition based on a student’s enrollment dates, holiday closures, and any documented medical absences. Charges reflect only the scheduled classes for each individual student within the billing cycle.

Attendance

Regular attendance is crucial to a dancer’s progress. If a student is unable to attend a class, parents or guardians must notify the studio in advance. Excessive absences may impact recital participation.

Make-up/Missed Classes

Students who miss a class due to illness or other reasons may attend a make-up class of the same format (i.e. style, age group, and class length) within the same month. Make-up classes must be scheduled with the front desk.

Inclement Weather & Substitutes

In the event of inclement weather, class cancellations will be communicated via email and social media. If a teacher is unavailable, a substitute teacher will be arranged.

Class & Studio Conduct

All students are expected to treat instructors, peers, and studio staff with respect. Disruptive behavior will not be tolerated and may result in dismissal from the studio.

Lost & Found

Lost items will be placed in the studio’s Lost & Found bin. Unclaimed items will be donated at the end of each month.

Restroom Policy

Young dancers are encouraged to use the restroom before class begins. For safety, students under the age of 5 will be accompanied to the restroom by a staff member.

Communication Policy

Studio updates, class schedules, and important announcements will be shared via email, our website, and social media platforms. It is the responsibility of parents and guardians to check these channels regularly.

Closings

Holiday closures and unexpected cancellations will be announced via email and social media. A complete list of planned holiday closures can be found on our website.

Recital

Participation in the annual recital is encouraged but not mandatory. Recital fees, costume information, and rehearsal schedules will be provided in advance. All participants must attend dress rehearsals to perform in the recital.

Parent Volunteers

We welcome parent volunteers to assist with recital preparations and backstage roles during performances. Volunteer sign-ups will be available through our website closer to the show.

Assistant Teaching Program

Students interested in assistant teaching opportunities may apply for the Assistant Teaching Program. This program is available for students aged 10 and older who demonstrate responsibility and leadership skills. Please see the front desk for more information.

Parent Volunteers

We welcome parent volunteers to assist with recital preparations and backstage roles during performances. Volunteer sign-ups will be available via email.

To maintain a professional and safe environment, all students are required to adhere to the studio’s dress code:

Ballet: Leotard, pink tights, ballet slippers, and hair in a bun.

Tap: Dancewear with black tap shoes.

Jazz & Lyrical: Form-fitting dancewear, tights, and jazz shoes and/or turners.

Hip Hop: Dancewear and clean sneakers.

Acro: Leotard or fitted dancewear with bare feet.

Musical Theatre & Contemporary: Form-fitting dancewear with appropriate shoes.

Failure to follow the dress code may result in the student being unable to participate in class.

Early-Bird Registration

Multi-Class

Save 10–30% automatically when enrolling in 2 or more classes. Discounts increase progressively based on the number of classes taken.

Sibling Discount
A 5% sibling discount is automatically applied to the lowest tuition amount within the family.

Trial Class

New students are welcome to schedule a one-time trial class before registering. Trial classes must be booked in advance, and availability may vary depending on class capacity.
